Transportation:

You can come directly to Selcuk by bus or train. Or you can fly to Izmir(Adnan Menderes Airport) and then take a shuttle or the train to Selcuk from the airport.

Places to Stay:

Artemis Guesthouse – If you are looking for a central hotel in Selcuk, Artemis Guesthouse is a good option, as it is not to expensive and nice and central.

ANZ Guesthouse -ANZ Guesthouse is about 5 minutes away from the centre of town and 3km from Ephesus. ANZ has a nice owner and a good view of the sunseting over the Aegean Coast.

Places to Visit:

Ephesus, is an ancient Greek-Roman city 3 km away from Selcuk and it is one of the highlights of the area.

House of the Mary Mother, its just 8 km up the hill from Ephesus where, it is rumored, the Virgin Mother, mother of Jesus Christ, lived her last days.

The Church of the Saint John, where the Saint John, friend of Virgin Mary, lived.

#1 Mehmet and Ali Baba Kebab House

Kebab is one of the most famous Turkish meal.  Minced beef , lamb or chicken meat cooked on BBQ and served with Pida Bread. Delicious!

Mehmet & Ali Baba Kebab House first opened its doors in the spring of 2009. Known as the best restaurant in Selcuk, they serve a delicious spread of traditional Turkish kebabs, mezes and desserts!

#2 Okumuslar Pida

Pida is meat inside bread cooked in owens with wood fire. Okumuslar pida is the best place to eat pida in town. Just behind the bus station.

Turkish Bath

The Turkish Bath in Selcuk is an ancient Turkish Seljukian Bath as 5,6 centuries old.

Turkish bath is very important around Turkey. Lots of local people goes to Turkish Baths almost every week. The bath in Selcuk is much cheaper than any other cities  in Turkey (especially Istanbul)
